We’ve only had great experiences so far. The principal is amazing. He knows literally every child’s name and greets them at the front of school daily. Our teachers have been there for years and are incredibly dedicated. Every year we see the school getting better.

Horrible this is why the teacher union is loosing support from the local public hopefully more genetrification happens and these low lifes get kick out of this school

There have been several concerning incidents at the school this year. Students climbing onto the roof of a building, resulting in a police response, as well as an incident with a gun of some sort being brought to school. The school's official word was that it was just a toy gun, but the community representative, a woman who works in the parent center, has told several people that it was a BB gun, and that it was brought to the school by a student with emotional disturbances, and fired on the playground. The school won't really answer any specific questions about it, so it is impossible to know what is true, for certain. Someone reported the community rep to the principal, but she is still working at the school. If it had been completely untrue, surely she would have been fired. They don't seem to take this kind of thing very seriously. They talk a lot about safety, but it doesn't seem very safe

I love this school !!!! Both my boys attend Atwater and I have made drastic improvements academically and socially. Both kids didn’t attend preschool or an early education center so at first they struggled but are now doing so good I couldn’t be happier
