Awful. We have a great relationship with some parents and their kids as well as some of the faculty and staff that we will miss dearly. Other than that I what else can I say about the principal Mr. Leach? She's a terrible principal especially when dealing with bullying. Main reason we aren't there today is she really went after our son for being a bully when really he was standing up for himself. We have since moved on about a month later and are happy to say he's back to being a happy child. He's enjoying school everyday and he loves his new friends who don't tease him about his short stature. You're better off at one of the other local school like Rockdale or Buchanon Elementary. We have a great relationship with both schools and their leadership.

My daughter started at Eagle Rock Elementary (the main school) in PreK and is now in 2nd grade. She has had excellent teachers and is working well above grade level. She loves school and feels proud to be a student. She has had many opportunities to participate in after-school clubs and the after-school program. She's been on many field trips every year and has many friends. The teachers and staff are very caring and all know her by name. The office staff is very friendly and accommodating to the many needs of all the students. Many people rush to join the Magnet school, but the main school program has proven to be excellent, we are going to stay with the community school.

First of all the School is a combined Elementary and Magnet center. The Magnet center concentrates on the academically gifted and consists of Gifted and Highly Gifted. I have 2 boys, between them both have been going to this school from Pre-K to 6th grade. Through the years the school has lost many great teachers who not only taught academics but traditional family values and yet somehow ERE is still able to replace their losses with wonderful teachers who do well in supporting the parents. One method of support; supplement the teaching regimen by providing workshops for the parents and/or caregivers. Another method, the school provides PTA and EREEF activities for families to get involved. I have seen 4 leadership changes in the Principal position, yet the school seems to maintain its high standards by raising its API score every single year from the first time my oldest entered school in 2009.If you are considering sending your child to ERE/Magnet please be involved with your child's education the school can only do so much cause a balanced education first starts at home. Your children look up to you for guidance and the teachers rely for support. You must have a TEAM mindset to effectively educate your child.
