I myself went to this school back in 2007-2008, it was amazing many wonderful teachers! but many have left already.. This school has turn HORRIBLE!! My sister (A average) was attending this school, but we had to take her out because the school cause my family the BIGGEST problem! I wont forgive this school! Police officers arent what you thing, trust me. Personal experience.

Its IPA score is still a number 2... Parents need to be involved A LOT more for this schools score to move up. Its super far from being a good school, parents first would need to be involved and parents in this community DO NOT like to be involved in there children's academic life. It has potential like all other school but that is all it has Potential.

JLMS is a wonderful school, and has the greatest kids in the world attending it. Ever since it opened 6 years ago, it has dramatically improved academically, thanks to the selfless dedication of its incredible staff. It is true that it went through a major restructuring a few years ago, but that was necessary due to budget cuts and its large number of inexperienced teachers. Today it is a model school at the forefront of educational reform.

If it wasn't for the Dean and the Campus Police this school would be a DISASTER! They need a Principal with strong leaderships skills. Someone who can implement a system that works. Someone who will take initiative and do some research to see how other schools get things done. I feel very bad for everyone who works under this leadership because they seem to be overworked. The Principle blames the problems on Socio economic issues. Gertz Ressler is down the street and it's one of the best schools in Los Angeles County.
