Lovelia P. Flournoy Elementary School

So many program available that parent/student don’t take advantage of. The minute the program is pulled then they complain. There are no serious consequences for students misbehaving/fighting; they are talked to and sent back to class. Students are constantly fighting and bullying each other with no serious consequences. It’s difficult for teacher’s to teach with constant classroom behavior problems and too many kids that can’t read at grade level, which is one of the reason for the behaviors. Also. Mostly Magnet kids parents are involve but the rest of the school parent aren’t so much. I see more parents at the Halloween carnival than at parent conferences or back to school night...smh.

I have a daughter that's in kinder, I don't doubt that every employee ain't doing there job, but how come they get paid more than a peace officer, despite that they, the LAUSD, being ranked 49 or so in the country, and can't even give a decent certificate for attendants, and want to have parents open car doors to ppl droping off there children, and not these over paid goons do it... no one in this area wanna b taken for a fool, well guess what, everyone is!!!

This school is the best, i myself studied here 6 years ago. Yes they do spend some time on disciplinary issues but that does not mean they dont focuse on the childrens education. I love this school. I would recommend this school to any.
