DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE IF YOU CAN AVOID IT Teachers and staff are rude to say the least .."MPE has failed to impress me with their SUB STANDARD form of running this school. I would not trust them to teach my dog, let alone my children" "I would have pulled my child out within weeks of seeing how poorly ran this school was" statements in another review that I strongly agree with..

Teachers need teacher assistants, but over all my daughter is doing well. Hopefully MUSD will get funding for our schools

This school is in an underserved area with a 32:1 student/teacher ration. The teachers do not have aides and the parents are encouraged to volunteer. My daughter attended K last year with a great teacher that retired but due to the entry level of the students, the teacher had to lower the standards to 50 sight words only instead of the standard 100. I see many parents frustrated where some believe it is too low and vice versa. The teachers must teach as a class. Maybe it should be encouraged to divide the classes for faster learners and for the others extra help outside of school hours. I know many students that attended here and have moved on to honors in junior and senior highs. If your child does attend this school just be prepared to help out more than usual. Further, I do not believe in standardized testing and no all children/people test the same.

is a SAD disappointment! If it was not for our daughters teacher who is the ONLY saving grace this school has I would have pulled my child out within weeks of seeing how poorly ran this school was. From having several principles in the first few months, to NO form of communication other than a LEVEL 4 clearance to try and get a hold of your child's teacher. I have to say that this is a prime example of why our public school system is falling apart! As a parent I tried several times to get involved and was stone walled one way or another! To other parents out there....DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE IF YOU CAN AVOID IT!!!!!!!!!!! Thankfully I have been able to secure my daughter at a school that not ONLY tested higher EVERY YEAR, but I feel is a better eviroment. MPE has failed to impress me with their SUB STANDARD form of running this school. I would not trust them to teach my dog, let alone my children who are my legacy. My Grandfather has always said that water settles at its lowest level and the sad part is that this school lowest levels starts at the top!
