Inovative ways to help children adjust to ability to absorb and learn valuable knowledge and life skills. School seems like it’s on a good growing path to be better by each year

Wilson USED to be a great school, before budget cuts that is. THE TEACHERS are not that great. Some are good, and some don't care what the students learn. There are probably only 4 for 5 good teachers out of 10. But it all depends on your SLC (Small Learning Community). Different SLC's have different types of teachers. THE STUDENTS are all different. There can be mean people and there can be really nice people. Depending on your SLC, you can become friends with people who are very intelligent and nice and are going to college, and then there students who are very ignorant and don't plan to go to college or do anything else with their lives. THE FOOD is horrible! Bring your own lunch unless you want to be eating microwaved food that tastes like cardboard. Because of budget cuts, i dont blame them. THE CAMPUS can be nice at times when it is clean. There is graffiti in some places and carved tagging on just about every desk. The school is very big and is filled with different buildings and massive stairs. THE BATHROOMS never have toilet paper nor soap. The soap smells horrible, so bring your hand sanitizer. There are few people who just hang out in the restrooms which is NASTY!

I started Wilson this year and honestly, the teachers here are great, but the classes aren't as challenging as I expected it to be. Wilson's campus is large and clean, but does need improvement in certain areas. This school could drastically improve if the students cared about test scores and grades. Not only that, but I feel as if there isn't much school spirit when there should be. When students care about their school, they will care about its reputation and will improve their scores, boost their sporting skills, and be involved in school activities and clubs. Now the worse things about Wilson High are its policies. For example, Wilson's attendance policy isn't strict enough. When I came to school late with a note, one of the attendants looked at me as if I were crazy and told me to just go straight to class; I couldn't believe it. I really do think this school could be one of the best, but these few, major flaws really bring Wilson down.
