Once upon a time Lakeside was a good maybe even great school but not anymore. Any parents in the district that can afford to send their kids to private school or move to better districts. The teachers are horrible and the school buildings are falling down. Watch the decreasing enrollment numbers, the school is down to about 70 kids and is struggling to survive. Maybe it is time for Lakeside to merge with another district, before the school fails and our home values plunge.

What a wonderful school. My two children have excelled in this school and i’ve seen their reading comprehension continually increase month after month. I know the teacher’s well and communication is high. I’d definitely recommend it.

Mixed. We've had some good years, and some less-good years. There is no program for gifted students, and the parents of children who have disabilities seem very disappointed. Those in the "middle" of the bell curve probably do best. The garden is great, the air is fresh, and the "flag salute" tradition charming. The school is in a time of transition, struggling to continue to be a small rural school with complicated school requirements and the costs of funding special education quite high. It is great to have a community school rather than being bused far away. I truly hope Lakeside can address its problems and survive. Was an incredible school 8 - 15 years ago, has struggled in recent years.

Wonderful school, great staff, great community and environment. Like many other parents, I’ve done a fair bit of volunteering. The school encourages a great deal of interaction by parents, which I like, and it allows me to take part in my children’s educational process. Best of all - the school even has a garden where the children learn about plants and great playground. It's the best!
