Los Gatos High School

We moved to LGHS half a year ago with the hope to get a better school. Since then a series of bad experience happens which could fill a whole book. Newcomers definitely are NOT welcome. Snobby and selfish appearance is common. They don’t what to deal with concerns. You have to shut you mouth to get a bad grade instead a worse ones. Some teachers give group grades which shouldn’t be allowed. Learning out of you misstakes is also not given. Because the teacher are not abel to write a nother Test for next year students. Especially in math is it a joke. The kids are only allow to look for a short time on the test without being allowed to take notes. The teachers show laziness but expect the opposite. ... model role...???!!!

Our daughter is a Freshman at LGHS. She is loving the entire experience. LGHS has a great balance of strong academics, sports programs, music, dance, drama and clubs. It’s a wonderful school for those seeking a well balanced High School experience for their kids.

Both my daughters attended Los Gatos High School and were able to get into top universities. I think they got a well rounded education and the teachers and administrators were always engaged and accessible to both parents and students.

The school administrators are excellent, and this has an obvious trickle-down effect. LGHS can be a tough place socially in terms of cliques and the need to be "cool," but the administration is very student-centric and will work with parents to ensure that each kid is set up for success. NewTech is great, especially with outstanding teachers like Matt Holm.
