The school does nothing about bullies. the staff does not care or turns a blind eye parents with special need students should look at other places for the student to attend and be safe.

One of the parents tuned me into this site (greatschools.org) and encouraged me to post here to get the word out on LOMS. Simply, FANTASTIC!! FANTASTIC!! FANTASTIC!! This is a California public school who has gotten it right. The learning environment is healthy, thought-provoking, caring (strict when necessary) and successful! The children (all of them) thrive and excel at this exceptional school; and view education as a positive pathway to accomplish their future goals and aspirations. What I have experienced and witnessed at LOMS, the curriculum is led by enthusiastic and spirited teachers, responsible for this schools exceptionalism. I would rank this middle school as the best on the central coast, and one of the tops nationally. Whenever you see SLO parents shuttling their children to LOMS, it speaks volumes

I am only familiar with the sixth grade curriculum and am very pleased. My grandson is doing very well and is excited about the programs being taught. The teachers he has are very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I feel he is getting a good start in life.

Overall the school provides a good environment for our middle schoolers with their diversified staff of teachers.
