I learned to write with my left hand when my right arm was broken.
teacher
I have been a student, a volunteer, a coach in high school, an instructional assistant at more than one schools, and now a Lynwood teacher at this school district. I am Lynwood's past, present and future. I guide, support, prepare, drive, inspire, challenge, and engage minds to apply the skills and strategies to problem solve throughout all academic areas. Many staff members are like me...we have Lynwood roots and we are here serving our own community. We love our school and continue to serve by remaining here. We work hard. We have ranked at the top for many many years @ LUSD. We don't look for "greener pastures" because we are in "green pastures". Parents, students, administration, teachers, and supporting staff TOGETHER we make WASHINGTON. If you are disappointed at our academic or professional performance, how did you help? how did you assist? how did you lift us if we were down or out of bounds? It is easy to walk away, or even spread the word of your mishaps, but what matters is how you improved Washington. We teach, but we also learn. We all leave a print everywhere we go. What will yours tell about your history here?
parent
I am a little disapointted with this school. They need to enforce the entering of parents during school hours. Staff is not that great. I had a bad experience, trying to see the principal. Was told he was not available, They would not let me wait for him. When once the principal said in a meeting, that he was available any time. I was once told by neighbors that this school was the best, I'm not so sure. Principal needs to work on getting the cafeteria clean for sanitary reasons.
teacher
To the teacher who made the comment on November '07, principals and other administrators HAVE come and gone, but the majority of us teachers have not. Many of us have dedicated time and effort into the cause. We are ALL accountable for the progress of the school not just your class. Get more involved in student progress and achievement overall not only your class. If you see that another teacher needs your expertise, then lend a hand and give constructive criticism and/or resources. If you are not satisfied with us then go in search of greener pastures. We will survive. We are what we all make of it.
