School located in a very safe neighborhood, and your kids can walk/bike to school. Beautiful campus. I felt whole culture around this school( or whole Silicon Valley? ) is competitive, surrounded by lots of extremely successful omega rich people. Unfortunately, we never felt community here. If you are white or rich, or native English speaker? Or one if those IT giant people, you may feel differently. Though we met some kind , friendly people , and we appreciate them. But if I can go back, I would choose Palo Alto or Laurel elementary? To be honest.

There is a lot of talk by the leadership, but actions are missing. Bullying is an issue, however they spend more time lecturing the parent on the term "bullying" rather than handling the ongoing issues between the children.

Administrative staff, starting at the top is very defensive, inexperienced, sometimes dishonest, and arrogant, I suspect, due to marginal abilities. Previous principal (D Ackerman) and office staff were excellent. Huge contrast- though improving. Some office staff poorly trained with miserable attitudes and routinely incompetent. Teaching staff is on average very caring, supportive, and motivated; high marks, but not enough to offset poor leadership.

Great school, with some amazing teachers and excellent leadership. We were lucky to have our kids an multi-age, and teachers were terrific: very caring and effective in how they dealt with issues. My only issue with the school is about its lack of diversity.
