Linda Vista Elementary School

My two daughters attend Lind Vista. I love the diversity. I love that students will be able to take Spanish class each week beginning this year. It is a gem of a school and I am so glad we used school choice to pick this wonderful place. The Great Schools scores are not a good reflection of the incredible learning going on here. All they show is that there is a variety of learners who attend, some of which know little English, and standardized tests are not the end-all-be-all of a school. The magnet is in its 2nd year and I can only imagine the rankings will improve, not that we chose the school based on that.

Love the school, love the principal, love the teacher. Students who are in "clicks" need to be separated. No one is really watching these kids at lunch or at recess.

10 plus. My three daughters attended LV from K-6th. There have been many positive changes with the current leadership and staff.We will miss being a part of the LV family. I encourage everyone to go tour the school and find out for yourself what makes a great Elementary School experience.Every parent/caregiver needsto be involved as a volunteer and PTA member. Helping on a regular basis even in a small way, impacts your child’s experience ten fold.Do not complain about your local school unless you actively support your child’s elementary school years.
