First off, don’t let test scores and kids from Airport district scare you. You can pick and choose your friends. The programs this school offers are amazing. At first, there’s the standard sports teams, then there’s the academic competition teams. I didn’t play school sports, but I still play sports, but I did the academic competitions and let me tell you, if you love to compete do these. La loma provides several of these competitions including math Super bowl, Robotics, future cities, academic pentathlon, and the biggest of them all Science Olympiad. I participated in science Olympiad and future cities. Our science Olympiad team and robotics team always qualify for state so if you want a school where you can make many good friends who are gold people, these activities are amazing to be apart of. Next, the teachers in honors are awesome in 7th grade there is no one that isn’t less than amazing for 8th grade the teachers aren’t as good but still pretty good and fun. PE is fun, the students get to choose what they do, where other schools make you do a certain activity, La Loma lets you pick. I am graduating this year and will miss the memories I made these two years.

7/10 - Certain teachers and friends made the difference between being a terrible school and not. If you are enrolled in Honors classes, you will, for the most part, be surrounded by at least decent people. If you are in regular classes, then the ethics of your peers sharply deteriorates. Ignore many of the other reviews, they have trouble spelling basic words such as "principal" or "their selves". They are not credible, or trustworthy sources, heavily slanted towards the negative because of a few bad experiences, or because they were the parent of an outlier that got bullied because they were weird. Just be yourself and you'll probably be fine.

The principle and his staff punish only wanting to give maximum punishment on students. They don't listen to problems and do not hold thierself accountable for there own actions / mistakes
