Best high school in Moreno Valley. The Canyon administrators are proactive at serving students and resourcing parents. Principal Kerr is helpful and willing to meet when necessary. The campus supervisors balance maintaining security with building relationships to encourage the students. The girls basketball program is second to none in the Inland Empire. The program for graphic design is not only fun and inspirational but a top-class opportunity for students to learn real world skills. Every school has it's issues and students who just want to mess around, but those students are managed well and not allowed to negatively impact the rest of the student body. It's a good school and one of the best in the Inland Empire.

I must admit I was nervous because of negative comments I've heard and looked for other options other than CSHS. Then I was told by the Principle at VHMS that CSHS has a new Principle and her reputation preceded itself. Mrs. Kerr is a strong and gentle woman. She asserts authority and gets issues resolved with grace! The VP and my daughters AVID counselor never once made me feel they did not love the school and the welfare of our children. That's all we wanted! I recommend this school because it has teachers that makes my daughter look forward to her classes. Mrs. Toliver, Mr. Critter are outstanding. I would be amiss if I didn't mention how I still cringe when I see the way these children dress and the filthy that comes out of their mouths. It just makes me work harder at home to enforce values and have deeper conversations at home. That you cannot avoid. I'm relieved that this school has a professional and caring staff.

I do not recommend this school for anyone! For starters there are to many kids at school which causes the kids to not get the attention an help that they deserve. Second, most of the teachers don't even teach. They just hand out a worksheet and tell you to do it on your own while they sit at their desks all day. The kids there are extremely rude an disrespectful. The only fully accepting program at that school is theatre. The theatre program is one of the best if not the best programs at this school. Ms. Dieffenbacher does an amazing job to make all the kids feel comfortable and feel accepted as if its one big family.

I must agree with some parents this is not the best school but also not the least. Thank god finally my son graduates this year but he did always complain about some teachers he had especially the one that puts movies in class instead of teaching! no need for names I'm sure he knows who he is.
