It is a great school : friendly staff, great teachers, and wonderful principal. PTA works very hard, too.

I love Antelope Hills Elementary School! The staff from the Principal down to the custodian are just amazing. You can tell they all care about the students and make them their number one priority. The teachers do a great job of engaging the students and really care about their success. Mr. Fairchild and Mrs. Zarate can be seen before and after school greeting all the students out front and know the names of my children. My kids even love the playground aides and talk about how funny they are. I will be sad when my children move on to middle school. Not a big fan of the traffic though!!

My daughter started AHES in Kinder and has moved onto Middle school this year. My next child is now a kinder at AHES. We LOVE the school very much. Wonderful teachers and staff. I think the traffic thing is a non issue as that is the way it is with school pick up and drop off. Most likely, the people complaining haven't tried to manipulate the middle school park lots yet ( now that is a joke LOL). My daughter left this school feeling extremely loved and challenged as she is a bright girl. My son can't wait to go to school everyday. The principal can even be seen doing the cross walk and personally greeting parents and kids as they walk into school.

AHES use to be the most amazing school. My kids were so proud to attend and always happy to go. Sadly, it has changed and not for the better. The lunch/playground aides are down right rude and nasty to the kids and really seems as though the administration could care less. My kids are dreading going back to school after Winter break because they just are not happy here anymore. Everyday after school they tell me how mean the playground aides are and what new rules they made up or what they are not allowed to do anymore (Changes ALL the time) and they just feel so micromanaged. I also get the feeling like parents are not encourage to help as much as we use to in the past. It's like drop your kids off at the gate and leave and god forbid you step on the blacktop in the morning to ask you child a question, you will be told to leave; like hello it's MY kid and I have a question. I will more than likely be placing my kids elsewhere next year.
