My children love OME! This was their first year here and I've heard nothing but positive things from them. The teachers are great and very effective. My child has had issues before with bullies before and since starting at this school we haven't had any issues. They have great leadership programs and promote healthy lifestyle habits. Love this school!

Their staff is extremely rude. They have a very poor trainning. Its very sad that school dont know how to select their staff.

OME is a great school -- not sure what some of these reviewers are talking about? I have been a parent at the school since 2007 & no school is perfect. Overall OME is a wonderful school. They don t allow cell phones/iPods in classrooms. They don t allow bullying. Any issue that is considered bullying is dealt with promptly by the principal. They are not all about fundraising. The PTA does the majority of fundraising for the school. With budget cuts, schools don't have any money for extra-curricular activities. Unfortunately, it IS the parents that ultimately have to pay for these extra things through fundraisers. Blame the State, not the school. The PTA is not hard to break into. You can go to the front office tomorrow & ask to be on the PTA & you would be welcomed. Truth is many parents don't realize how much of a commitment it takes to be on a PTA, so they THINK they want to be on it & then don't show up after they work the first event! The office staff is nice. They have to follow school district rules; parents can t just do whatever they want at the school! The principal has an open door policy. You may have to make an appointment with him because he s busy running a school!

Second year at this school and gladly last year! I read the academic and scores reviews before moving my son to this school and that is the reason I decided to enroll him. But oh surprise the two years he is been at this school his grades went down as well as his confidence. Teachers are definitely not involved as far as the academic progress of your child but rather on fundraising matters. This whole two years haven't heard of any extracurricular activities that the school holds and if there is we were definitely not informed. We also had more than one bullying incident and the principal did not do anything about it. We got the run around even though the bullying continued nothing was done. What kind of teacher let students have their iPod/cell phones during class anyway and then claim they didn't know anything about it when the devices are being used during the class. Very disappointed of the school and the staff, wish I would have known before having my son in here for two years. Definitely have to watch out and be aware of the stuff that happens on a daily basis because teachers rather not to anything about it.
