Great school! The teachers are amazing and the PTA is very active and involved.

This school is an absolute gem. We moved to Santa Clarita last year and were very delighted with the caliber of teachers, facilities, and faculty. The school is nestled into the corner of quite neighbourhood, and is surrounded by large beautiful trees. There is next to zero traffic or passerbys. A very safe school. We have 3 children currently enrolled (6th, 3rd, and 1st grade) They all made friends very quickly, and have learned a lot. As i am writing this review, Peachland has a 7 out of 10....which is ridiculous. Last year, we moved from a 10 out of 10 elementary school in Redondo Beach CA...and Peachland is SIGNIFICANTLY SUPERIOR to that school in every way possible. The PTA is very involved at this school, and very well organized. (If you don't know this by now, THAT is a very important factor to a healthy school)Mrs Rooney is the best 1st grade teacher i have ever witnessed. She is firm, calm, organized, and friendly. She sings to the kids too...which is amazing. My first grader came home with some great songs last year, that helped him remember science facts, and math tables/tricks.The teachers care and work hard. They prepare lessons and try new techniques. Also, the principle LISTENS to parental feedback. If teachers are not making the difference they should be...they won't be kept at Peachland. That's my two cents.

The minute I walked into the Office, the Office Staff was rude. No smile, no greeting... just a "what do you want" stare. They made me feel like I was interrupting them. While there, a parent walked in to drop off a lunch for her child (that had left it at home), and I actually saw the Office Staff member roll her eyes at this parent. Unfortunately, this is typical for this school. Thank goodness the teachers than the Office staff.

My daughter just transferred to Peachland. I love the small, campus feel. The parents are involved and caring. It's small enough that children can make friends easily and not get lost in the shuffle. I like the diversity of the student body. The campus is beautiful, with mature trees and large play areas.
