Darby Avenue Charter School

Both my sons attended Darby and loved it. It’s a great community of families and teachers

I went to Darby back in the 1960s - there were close to 1000 students - the vice principal use to swat kids who misbehaved with a paddle. It was a different age way back then. Lots of good memories - I left 6th grade in 1971 and am now a retired gteacher.

Although Darby Elementary School has many excellent teachers on campus, the leadership is greatly lacking. The former principal implemented a leadership style which was positive, unified, and enthusiastic. With thoughts for the future I would like to see another leadership situation of this type.

Great sense of community, strong academics, family fun nights, and caring staff and principal!
