I am very surprised to read negative comments about the principal. My experiences have always been very positive and I hear the same from other parents. She is responsive and caring. She is always very helpful and friendly. She is wonderful with the students and has improved the school a lot. I love Napa, the teachers, and the principal.
The principal at Napa is one rude lady. If you go into the office in the morning, and she's the only one in there, she will not ask if she can help you with something (she just looks at you and then looks away). She pretends to care about the students' education. She doesn't care about their education. She only cares that the school she's running goes over 800 points. There's a place for everything, and yelling at a teacher because he was late (outside the office) is not the appropriate place.
The principal at Napa Street Elementary School (May-2012) is the RUDEST and MOST INCONSIDERATE principal I have ever met. I am happy to say that my children will not be attending this school. She made us wait 2 hours (with children) in the office and still DID NOT sign the documents necessary for my children to attend another school of our choice since Napa Elementary School is not our selected school. After a two hour wait, we were told we had to leave the papers because she closed the door to her office and did not come out until she looked through the blinds to make sure we left the office. How immature for a principal to act this way. I would NOT want my children to be directed by a principal like this. If I could give this school no stars, I would.

My child has had a wonderful year in fourth grade. All of the teachers work together and teach a variety of subjects in the afternoon. The test scores may look poor, but the teachers are terrific!
