Redwood Heights Elementary School

Very satisfied with the school community and the strong teaching staff. The curriculum could be a little more challenging, but that could be an OUSD issue.

I have two kids there now, and one more on the way. We have had nothing but great experiences with the faculty and parent community. The school staff cares and the programs are excellent. Art, garden, music are all excellent. A school focused on STEAM curriculum. The school also practices restorative justice.

RHS is an excellent school with many different programs that really enrich the school experience for children. No school is perfect and RHS has its issues, but overall I believe RHS is doing a good job at meeting the needs of students. There is a lot of parent involvement and support. The teachers that I have interacted with are caring professionals who do a great job with the kids. Love my neighborhood school.

The school is regressing due to poor leadership. The teachers are great and doing their best, but the principal has misguided directions and poor management abilities. She has forgotten academics are also part of her responsibility, and not the lowest item of importance.
