The committed teachers, the warm, inclusive tone set by the principal, Mrs. Dutter, the intimacy of a small school setting--all of it makes for a wonderful learning environment. Additionally, San Antonio has an art teacher who works in each classroom, as well as a strong music program for the middle school students. San Antonio is one of the oldest elementary schools on the valley, and it has a long standing commitment to providing a sound education. The parent body is involved and committed to student success as well. We are lucky to have a school like this in our community.

San Antonio School has been a great experience for my daughter, the school is small and personal. Her teacher is lively and engaged with the students. Her teacher talks in detail about her in teacher/parent conferences. We are very happy with our choice of schools.

Oh wow. To respond to the last review. You must not know mrs Dutter. No she doesn't not sit in her office in front of the computer all day long. She has tons of meetings to make sure her schoolS are amazing and meet the needs of her students. District meetings, board meetings, teacher meetings, parent meetings, pto meetings, IEP meetings, math Super Bowl, fundraisers and much more. By having all these meetings she is making sure the school runs effectively. Mrs Dutter cares about all of her students and is always willing to schedule a meeting with you no matter the problem or your concern. Mrs Dutter is the best principal ever and it seems from my experience she is always there when it matters most. The teachers, parents and students I have all talked to love mrs Dutter and wouldn't ever trade her for a principal who never left campus.

The principle is NEVER there! She has an amazing ability to know her students names,(all 150 of them!), but it take more then acting like Mrs. Poppins to run a school effectively. The teachers are well intended, but lack leadership and support from their principle who acts like showing up for the weekly assembly (she no longer even does that) is fulfilling her obligations.
