Being an educator myself I was very selective on what school I wanted my son to attend. Having taught in a Dual Immersion program earlier in my career, I knew that this was the kind of education that I wanted my children to receive. The Dual Immersion program at Euclid promotes and effectively teaches bilingualism, biliteracy, and mutlicultural education. So after visiting multiple schools, the choice was obvious for us, Euclid! From the moment we interacted with the principal and staff, we knew there was something special about the school. The school environment is welcoming, warm and friendly. Students are engaged and happy. The students are held to high expectations academically and behaviorally. They are recognized for their achievements and celebrated by staff and peers. The "Jaggy" community is certainly one of a kind. My son LOVES his teachers. Being an English only student, the amount of Spanish he has learned this year is stunning. He is communicating with family members in Spanish and PROUD to do so. He is reading and writing proficiently in English and Spanish. He receives small group instruction that is tailored to his needs, which has helped his growth tremendously. I am also beyond thrilled that he has the opportunity to learn about and celebrate other cultures. He is always so excited to go to school and incredibly eager to share his day. The fact that my son loves his school speaks volumes to me. I am truly grateful for this staff and the culture that they have created at this school. I cannot wait to enroll my youngest son in the Dual Program in the near future!

The worst experience I have ever had. My granddaughter was pulled from this school after two weeks!

My children are both enrolled in the newly formed Dual Language Immersion program at Euclid. My husband and I could not outweigh the awesome opportunity this would be for our children, and the impact it would have on them culturally, so we transferred them into Euclid from another district. My first impression with Euclid was that everyone, starting with Principal, was so positive. This was the sort of environment I wanted my kids to be around. We had the opportunity to enroll my son into the TK program as well. Dual Immersion starts in Kindergarten. I can't believe how advanced their Spanish is now. They are literally doing almost all of their studies in Spanish. English is incorporated depending on grade level. My children are now having full conversations with their grandparents and they have no problem with flipping back to reading books in English. I do not see a delay whatsoever with the English language and the curriculum in general. Prior to enrolling my kids they did hear Spanish at home, but they were not fluent. I have also seen kids walk into this program with not knowing one word of Spanish (neither did parents) and now they are also having conversations in Spanish. As a parent I have adjusted to helping with homework in Spanish, and we get directions on how to help too. The California common core standards in general have made us all change the way we think about math! I've been telling everyone I can about this program, and its at a public school! I think its also really changing the culture at Euclid. It just brings an extra level of academics and its attracting kids from all over the area. I'm not sure if I agree with the overall grade I see here for Euclid. All I can say is that Euclid has provided my kiddos with the tools they need to succeed, and as a parents, we have tried our best to follow through and ensure that our kids are keeping up with their studies.

My experience at Euclid has been wonderful for many years! I personally attended Euclid School as a child from K-6th grade as did my 3 sisters. And now I'm happy that both my boys have also had the privilege of attending this great school. One of my boys is getting ready to enroll in college and the idea of college was instilled in him since he was a student at Euclid School. Now my 6th grader is getting ready to graduate from Euclid and is already excited about pursuing college as an aspiring engineer. This all due to Euclid's awesome programs like Lego Robotics.I can't say enough about the staff also. They have been such an amazing help and influence on my boys from K-6th as well as the office administrative staff. Principals and teachers have shown my family special attention and care showing us how much they actually care for their students. If I was asked if I recommended Euclid Elementary School for their children I would say, 'ABSOLUTELY!' Thank you so much to ALL the Euclid School Staff for all that you do for our families!!
