I am so happy we made the switch into this school. My son is so much more confident and is getting the help and care he needs and deserves. His teacher Miss Rhoads is so awesome with him and does so much to help him. I know in my heart she won't give up on him and will watch him to continue to succeed. My son is so much happier here then he was at his last school.
Test scores paint a good picture. It is clear to me that this school is lacking in leadership and the skills to properly educate our students. There are combo classes in most grades, and one class taught by the music and PE teachers. The elementary school and the middle school are run by the same two individuals. If you are considering enrolling your child into this school, look into the middle school and you will find the same low test scores. I believe the teachers have the heart and desire to teach our kids, but their hands are tied with huge classes, teaching multiply grades, and being shifted around from year to year. Parent involvement in this school, and the community is great. It is reflected in the children in how they treat one another with acceptance and kindness.
It is a small school with a big heart! Children go to school with their neighborhood friends, parents volunteer in the classrooms and run fundraisers. Many of the teachers have taught there for years. Everyone is proud to be involved with their neighborhood school.
The administration is purely just a dictatorship. They have no interest in what a parent feels is best for their child. They have combo classes in every grade level and few bad teachers that they won't do anything about! Perhaps when they get a new principal things will change for the better.
