Palomares Academy is an excellent school. The schools curriculum is focused on the fundamentals of education and Health Sciences. Over the last four years the school has excelled in many areas and received many awards. The school has an excellent group of teachers, administration, and staff who values the education our children. As a parent who believes education is the key to being successful, this schools has aligned itself with my beliefs. The graduation success rate and college acceptance currently has surpassed many of the local high schools. This is my daughters senior year and I am very glad she has chosen to attend Palomares Academy. During the summer she as able to experience a program through the University of La Verne as a recommendation from the school. She received 3 weeks of college experience and exposure. Although the emphasis for Palomares Academy is Health Sciences, the core curriculum will allow your child to excel during and after graduation. The school has growing relationships with the community and surrounding businesses such as Western University and Pomona Valley Hospital. These relationships will allow them to gain resources. This school is an excellent choice for education....sometimes you have to look beyond the surface and look at the character of staff and content of education. This school has proven to be excellent in both.

Palomares Academy is a small school focused on the Health Sciences. It offers programs to support its students. It has caring teachers and staff that work hard to provide support for student success. Palomares is an ward winning school: Golden Bell Award, Gold Ribbon Award, Title I Achievement School, NAF Distinguished Academy and is WASC accredited. Students complete internships before graduation. So far all of its graduating classes have graduated 100% of its students and all were accepted into 4-year universities. Students preparing for internships are OSHA, HIPAA, and First Aid Certified. There's a dental clinic on campus and a medical lab for training on campus. Resources are scarce. Even though the school receives funding many classes lack textbooks and necessary supplies. Phones don't work, there are frequent PA interruptions, and admin is fairly ineffective handling behavioral problems which stem from the upper grades to the middle school. Having AP students in classes with special needs students makes it difficult to get through a lesson, especially when equipment is left broken. Most stakeholders do not believe the school is represented accurately in media. Especially allowing failing students to promote if their parents complain. Admin coerces teachers to adjust grades for students who have not completed any work. Students caught with weapons or who threaten others are permitted back in class sometimes the same day.
