A1 education every year I went there

This school is abysmal when it comes to communication. My child struggled immensely during his four years here and I found that his teachers didn’t return emails or phone calls when I reached out for help. When I turned to the principal for help, I was advised to just continue emailing and calling and if I did get a response, it was usually when grades were already submitted or it was too late to redeem his grade. Finally, during his senior year, I contacted my son's guidance counselor to arrange a meeting with his teachers and took time off from my new job, which I didn’t mind doing since I value my child’s education. I even confirmed a time that work best for the teachers, since I know they are not required to stay after 4pm. Unfortunately the teachers did not place the same value on my child’s education, and when I arrived, I was told that none of the teachers showed up. They all had a variety of excuses even though they had all confirmed they would attend, and the principal and superintendent were dismissive when I escalated my complaint (“I’m sorry that happened to you but things come up”). The only time I received any communication was when my son's substitute lost the remote control and decided to illegally search all of the students. My son questioned the teacher’s right to do this and the Vice Principal called me to say my son was "mouthing off". The remote was later found in the substitute’s possession. Trust me, send your child to another school if you value their education.

All they care about is dress code more than the actual education. Wouldn't blame them since we have the worst test scores. Most students at that school who've been there don't even know the principal. They are getting rid of the teacher who runs IB. Each VP stay a year and goes to a better school realizing how bad it is. Wouldn't recommend.

We moved from the Twin Rivers School district a couple of years ago. Folsom Cordova is definitely a better district. My son's grades have improved and so has his attitude towards school. I've met his teachers and I am very impressed with their attitude towards teaching the students.
