Ridgecrest Intermediate School

I don't mean to act like a complete jerk here but this is my opinion of the school because I still remember the experience after graduating two years ago. Most of the teachers gather around in meetings and do nothing but make plans to give students a hard time in school and out of school. First of all there is seriously way too much homework. The amount of homework is there to give you a hard time out of school. We already have a whole lot of classwork in class and that is already enough stress for the day. Then at the end of class you'll be assigned loads of homework that contains questions that weren't even covered in class and aren't even related to the textbooks we're using. In between classes, you only have two minutes to get to your next class and some teachers won't even let you use the bathroom. Another bad thing is that you have to get to school by 7:50 a.m instead of 8:00 a.m like other schools which is totally not fair. Yeah, this school is competitive academically and many parents and teachers do boast too much about it's academics and test scores but it's really unfair to struggling students like me. The few positive things were that I did have a good time socially with the other students and some of the teachers. The principal was really the best part of this school but there still needs to be more involvement with the teachers about the amount of homework and classwork.

Great school. Mr. K. is amazing! My kids are looking forward to starting a new year soon!

Overall this school is terrific. Yes, some teachers are better than others, but the counselors help with any issues that we have had. Yes, there is too much homework! But the PV District in general is about a year ahead of other local districts- Is that better or not? Personal opinion it isnt, especially if your child is bright but not quite yet an engineer, rocket scientist or a member of an orchestra! Mr. Oschman and Ms.Felix are outstanding in their fields. The principal, Mr. Corwin and all office staff go above and beyond to try to make the education experience a great experience for all the students. Not an easy task. Recommend this school- yes I do.

Uhmmm...pretty much the worst school ever. Not even kidding i go here and i hate it. Just moved here this year over the summer, and this school is AWEFUL. Sorry to scare anyone coming here, you may like it, but i HATE it.
