What a diverse, smart, and dedicated community of educators and families! Our precocious, high-achiever girl has been seen, challenged, and encouraged here since we moved to the neighborhood at the start of 1st grade. She's made great friends and feels at home here. We are thrilled to be MV Bees!

This is a really wonderful community-based school with a very active PTA and a beautiful campus. The teachers are experienced and committed and the turnover is very low. There is a great STEAM (science, technology and art) program. The kids are sweet and it's a fun place to spend time. The current principal has done a tremendous amount to unify and encourage everyone at the school, teachers and students alike.

We have a wonderful school community - dedicated teachers and staff, eager students and committed parents. We also have a beautiful campus in the East Bay hills in the San Francisco Bay Area. Mira Vista is a true gem!

Mira Vista is a good neighborhood school with a caring and active PTA that strives to continue improving the school environment and activities, such as art, glee, STEM club, and 2 outdoor classrooms/gardens. Like any public school, it has had to deal with reduced budgets, but the PTA has been actively trying to make up for the difference by securing grants to continue improving programming. In addition to the view, one of the best things about the school is its diversity. Most of the students in my children's classes have more than one racial ancestry. So it's great to celebrate everyone's heritage and religion at the annual multicultural night, and things that could be problematic in other schools aren't really an issue. Mira Vista isn't perfect -- what school is? But the teachers and principal go above and beyond because they know they are supported by a caring community.
