Kindergarten was good. First grade was useless. First grade Student said he was being taught what he already learned in preschool and kindergarten. Homework confirmed this.

This is my child’s first year here and he’s already complaining every single day about mean kids at school. One kid punched his chest. Other kids constantly cutting in line. Pushing and shoving. Rude comments and a lot of the times I hear it’s during recess and it’s the BIGGER kids doing it to him!! The supervisors at recess ignore it. Just tell him to play something else or not to play with those kids anymore. When some follow him and bother him and he shouldn’t have to not play his favorite sport just because the bigger kids at recess can’t seems to know the rules by now and treat the younger ones with respect. I already miss his old school where we moved from. they split recess by grades and had times where older grade kids “buddied” up with the younger and kindly interacted with them. Taught them things and did projects together. It was amazing. I encourage this school to try the same thing. The office staff never care about inconvenienceing the parents with parking or pick up and drop off “rules”. They always have something to say back that tries to make you feel dumb or like you did something wrong. One girl in the office needs to watch her facial expressions too. It’s rude and immature. The assistant principal plays favorites on who he wants to open the gate for and let into the school parking lot during pick up times. I’ve been told I can’t park but literally saw him let other people in after me that showed no handicap sign or daycare sign. They just parked in a regular spot. I get no letters sent home about upcoming dress up days that my son wants to participate in or anything. The school will send out a call just the night before. Comparing to other schools we have been to, this literally is the worst one ever. Both my son and I hate it. I was irritated to find out he was forced to go there because it was closest to our new address and our transfer to a better school was denied. I’ve seen way better interaction with teachers and students and students to students at every other school but this one. Even with the office. I used to always enjoy attending all school events but this one I’ve been to only one assembly for my son and it was very boring. Teachers were not having fun or interacting well with the kids either. Just over all ran down. I can’t wait to pull him out of this school that’s for sure!

If I could give them a negative score I would. I should have listened to her father and changed schools before winter break and mmm ow it's too late. She WILL NOT be going to this school next year. Do your child and their future a favor and habe them go to a different school.

Teaching here was a nightmare. Teachers do nothing but gossip and i'm blessed to have gotten my students through the year. Not a good environment to work in.
