Excellent school. Lots of extra programs. All 5 of my kids loved it and thrived.

The teachers are fantastic but can only do so much. Unfortunately the principle is more concerned with their image than addressing concerns of students. Safety doesn’t seem to be a top priority here.

We have always had great experiences through the years at Rocklin El. Son has been there since kinder and is now in 5th grade. This year he started in the GATE classroom, and it has been wonderful. My son complains of being bullied occasionally, and we try to give him the tools to face the problems; sometimes talking to teachers, sometimes problem solving, etc. It does not appear to be any more than what children tend to do to one another; it does not seem extreme or 'abnormal' bullying behaviors. More like insensitivity and being a jerk sometimes. The staff is always very responsive to any problems we may have. It is a fantastic school!

While we like our teacher again this year campus conditions continue to decline.Teens are vaping and involved in other illegal activities on campus shortly after school hours and items which are inappropriate for children litter school grounds. We are saddened that all the controversy among school board members continues with one even leaving to litigate with the district. It is heartbreaking to see already so early in the school year we again have students in the district being arrested for guns, drugs and violence.Would like to see a much more positive-proactive district and school.Would also appreciate our Superintendent spending our funds on students rather than over sized, full color expensive mailers that are completely unnecessary.
