This school is not as good as it once was in the past. My son has severe anxiety. He has been sick a lot throughout the year. The school has no sympathy for what he is going through. I get it that attendance is a state mandate but the school seems to only care about the #'s , not the students. my son was sick today and in the nurses office. The school's counselor went in to tell him that he needed to get a note from his doctor so it was considered an excused absence. I JUST had a conversation with her about how anxious my son is and she decides to make him more anxious by telling him this. I am livid. No one has brought up the fact that he could have a 504 because of his anxiety disorder. They just say that mental health issues do not qualify for as a reason for frequent absences (there's actually a form that you can have a doctor fill out for any physical issues). I plan on investigating this further before giving up. I strongly dislike this school. Oh - and while my son was throwing up in the bathroom, the Assistant Principal walked in and told him to hurry up. Not checking to see if he is okay or anything.

This school is amazing and I will be very sad to leave this amazing school.

My overall experience would most likely be below one star. This school is not an environment where parents can trust the teachers to effectively guard their children and keep them from emotional and physical trauma. Your child's mental health will be put at risk by the racism, harassment, and bullying that is present on campus.

My child has been going here. He has been complaining of the kids making racist comments to him and also calling really bad names. The school dooes not seem to take it seriously. Just frustrated to see my kid having to go through this.
