Sierra Oaks K-8

Out of 10, I give it a 2. Blasphemy and farcical that they have this "distinguished in excellence" title....the school is unkempt, hasn't been painted in 20 years; the grounds look like an abandoned insane asylum. It's embarrassing. The most embarrasing part is that it is in the middle of million dollar homes; the PTA supposedly has over $180k in reserves for what it is being used for, great question I ask myself. The middle schoolers do not have designated lockers as previous years destroyed them. OK. So now that there are no lockers there are strict rules by teachers to not bring backpacks into classrooms; further, if a student forgets even a pencil in their backpack, which is OUTSIDE the door, they are ridiculed to the point of shame/embarrassment. Yeah, so really poor experience thus far at this "distinguished" school. Oh, and the website is off by 5 years; NOTHING IS UPDATED!!!!!!!!!! *There needs to have an appropriations committee deep dive the PTA finances STAT!

My kids went to this school, teachers and staff are very caring.

My kids all went to Sierra Oaks. This a wonderful school and community. Teachers are caring and parents all get involved.

We have been parents at this school for 5 years. We have seen many changes over the past few years and last year was by far the best one ever. We are now a California Distinguished School, we have a great Principal and the school is fabulous. We could not be happier. We are so happy we stayed at Sierra Oaks and we know that our daughter will be well prepared for High School! There is strong parent support here as well. The PTA is very active and raises much needed money for the school. Many parents volunteer in the classrooms and at events.
