Amazing school! Excellent teachers, security, and office staff! I have attended SMS for two years prior to attending high school, and during those two years had I enjoyed an excellent learning experience. The security as well as administration is strict, but friendly! They are always open ears to even the students concerns! As for teachers, all of them are friendly, strict, and do not tolerate any disruption in their classrooms. This school got me into my high school's Advanced Placement program by giving me the opportunity to take a honors classes because of my hard work and my high G.P.A of 4.0 (I had a 4.0 for all two years I have been in this school). Nothing wrong with this school whatsoever! Definitely will be paying a visit to this school during my sophomore year, which is in seventeen days from now! Also, my step-brother will be attending this school because of both my own experience with this school. I recommend SMS to any student willing to work hard and get rewarded for it!

My boys all went to this school and there education is behide I had to get them tutoring to bring them up to there level. This school is more focus on dress code then education bad kids here ruined it for the ones that want to learn so if you want to have a good education and be around nicer kids don't come here!! Too much to list about this place and I hate to talk nagitive about people I don't want bad karma

This school ruined my education. They put me back two years so when I reached high school, I couldn't do simple pre-algebra. I am extremely disappointed with the teachers and staff for not doing their best for students. This school also doesn't know how to discipline, I was bullied numerous times and all that happens to the culprits was a slap on the wrist. For a Childs perspective(age15) I advise you not to attend this school. This school doesn't even deserve a star.

My child has been at this school for three years. I find most of the teachers are open to a parents views and will work with you and your child, if you only request a meeting and follow up. I would estimate three or four who would not be open minded. The meetings I have had with the principal were productive. My child was having a problem with bullies. The school supervisor was brought in and the problem was swiftly dealt with. Zero tolerance, meant just that! Parent involvement was easily accessed. The first time I was in the office, on the counter in front of me, I found a memo on how to contact the schools parent club. I have only attended two meetings, but felt accepted and and observed a very active club. The dress code is not a big deal to most students and actually kind of lax althouh appropriate.
