We came to Adams through the school choice program. Having a dual language program is really important to us, and we love that it's in a cool neighborhood with a diverse student body. The PTCO is a great group of parents, and people that I am excited to raise my child alongside. I am so glad we chose Adams. I feel like we are part of building something incredible.

Our experience at Adams Elementary has been excellent. The principal is wonderful. The teachers are very devoted and capable. We believe in neighborhood schools, and we are fortunate to have this in our neighborhood. Our son has learned Spanish language in his classroom in the 90/10 Dual Language Immersion course, so he will be 100% BILINGUAL AND BILITERATE, despite coming from an English-only household. We have found a great community of friends for him and for ourselves. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved. And the school will have a BRAND-NEW FACILITY for the school year 2018-2019.What else could you want?

Overall, I am very happy with our decision to bring our daughter to Adams Elementary. We had the option of sending her to several other schools, and instead of higher test scores, we opted for a smaller school, with a dual immersion bilingual program. Our daughter is excelling and loves the school, the teachers, and her classmates. Adams is a great choice!

We turned down a guaranteed spot in the Spanish immersion program at Language Academy in order to attend Adams' new dual immersion program. Language Academy is a strong, well-established school with great funding--but it is also really big and frenetic and a young child could get overstimulated and feel 'lost' there. Adams is small, loving, diverse, and my gifted daughter gets a ton of individual attention to her academic strengths; the school has gone above and beyond to be flexible in providing her with opportunities to learn at a more advanced pace. Things like that don't always show up in the overall test scores of a school, but they make all the difference in the happiness and academic success of the individual child.
