The principal is very visible and you can run into her every morning as she greets students/parents. My child is adjusting well to the school and gets excited about run club. She's getting involved in the after school activities and enjoys the monthly STEM projects.

Each year for my son became worse than the previous until we finally switched schools. Our new school has been AMAZING at assisting us through his learning difficulties. The teachers were not patient and did not communicate with me or my husband. My son gave up trying because they had a view of him that they would not change. After being at our new school I now see how a school should really be run and how teachers should behave.

Overall I have been very pleased with this school. It has grown and is becoming a school parents choice their kids in to and not out of, which is promising. The new field out back is great and it seems like the campus has had some needed TLC completed over the last few years. The most important point for me is that the PTA and other parents are very involved in a positive way (no crazy endless fundraising schemes or high pressure selling of stuff you don’t need here!), some examples are the Fall Festival (which was a blast) and the Spring (parents only) Fiesta which raise funds for the various programs (STEM/Spanish/5th grade boosters). My daughter is in the Spanish program in Kindergarten and is already (in 3 months) starting to integrate Spanish into the conversation at home even though we are not a Spanish speaking family.

There was bullying involving my son being bullied, I was appalled that the school defended the bully. Also, my son tested into GATE and they never once addressed this in the few years he went there.
