The first thing you see about the school is the building: it’s a beautiful, modern space. I wish I had gone to school in a building that nice. it’s bright, spacious, with top notch athletic facilities, there are also tons of creative and tech spaces. This is the type of environment that makes you want to learn.That being said, a building giving a startup vibe counts for nothing, if the rest wasn’t following. I had read the past reviews and was worried about academics and the atmosphere in the school, especially during the hard years of middle school. My worries vanished one by one talking to parents, students and staff.But what convinced me immediately was the open house event, where anyone could visit the school and see the space and students projects.I saw a bunch of diverse 8th grader giving presentations about their work (robotics for instance), and most importantly answering questions. These students were eloquent, passionate, at ease both with the subject and addressing grown ups. I decided to enroll my kids.During the pandemic students received a top-notch tablet and data plan from Verizon, they have been well taken care of during those tough social distancing times.

My son spent his 3 middle school years at WB. He fell in love with their Robotics program and Science club. The teachers are invested in their success and learning and keep them engaged in getting a top of the line education. My son was very prepared for high school.

Even during Covid, when our daughter has only experienced remote learning, we've found all of her teachers to be deeply caring, energized, resourceful, and committed. I credit the school's leadership and faculty for making this difficult time as positive of a learning experience as they can. They've helped our daughter transition to middle school during a really tough year. Thanks, Willie Brown Middle!

Willie Brown was the school that helped my 5th grade child move from dreading middle school to being completely excited about it. We are both so thrilled to be a part of this community. The teachers, administrators and staff are involved and caring. They seem to know every student by name, as well as by their personalities. Whenever I have reached out with a question or for support, the response has been immediate. During Distance Learning, the teachers have kept academic content engaging, and have strived to develop strong communities and healthy relationships with school and peers, in spite of the enormous hurdle of online learning. We feel so very lucky to have landed here, and can not recommend this school highly enough. We eagerly await schools being able to safely re-open so students can return to this beautiful building and all that is has to offer. Meanwhile, teachers and staff are working so hard to make Distance Learning as effective as possible. You will not regret giving this gem of a school a chance!
