Graduated in the class of 2020. Looking back, never would I have chosen to go here, but I'm eternally grateful that I was placed at Wallenberg. I agree with the reviews that there's a high staff turnover rate but that's only half of the story. Yes I had a lot of long-term subs and very untraditional learning experiences. But the teachers and admin here are some of the most supportive people I've met. They care so deeply for their students and sacrificed their time and resources in every way possible for us. Teachers will never turn down a team that needs a coach or a club that needs a sponsor. The wellness center and staff encourage students to seek help if they need counseling or extra support, and all peers and teachers are so supportive of it. It's up to the student to make the most of it. Going here strengthened me and taught me that the world doesn't stop for you. No matter the circumstances, it's up to you to work hard and stay focused. There are countless opportunities to start, lead, and join clubs and extracurriculars. Being such a tight-knit community allows students to try things they never thought they were capable of. The lack of AP's can be a turn off, however, it allows you to show college you did the most that was offered at your school. CCSF classes are also free, impressive, and not very difficult. Easy to stand out if and get into a top tier college if you're determined. The diverse student body allows you to meet and be friends with students who come from different places and have different experiences. Being such a small school you can truly make Wallenberg whatever you want it to be. By going to Wallenberg, I've grown in empathy, knowledge, and experience.
It is good and perfect evrything is checked off go to this school
I'm an adult and work nearby to this school. Frequently the students from this school leave for lunch and terrorize the nearby Target store in groups and the Subway restaurant as well. Today at Subway, three Latino girls went in and began stealing food. When approached, they just stood there eating and calling out the owner. A woman and her small child had to witness their foul language and the police had to be called. I followed them back to the Raoul Wallenberg School, even though I knew where they were going. Really sad that a high school is churning out this kind of lawless disrespect. Good luck finding jobs, ladies, you'll need it.
Graduated class of 1993. During my time at Wallenberg the school earned a Distinguished School reputation. A large plaque was even posted outside; it has since been removed. Sadly it appears enough of the entering students do not respect their own education. Yes there are good teachers, staff and students; however, like many public schools a few bad apples exist.
