We have 2 kids at Yick Wo and have been at the school for 5 years. It’s a small school mostly made up of children from the neighborhood and surrounding area so feels like a neighborhood school. The parent community is awesome too! It’s really easy to get involved in whatever way you can. We really like the school and feel like our children are being set up for a great future.

The experiences of my daughter and both of us parents with Yick Wo has been overwhelmingly positive. The teaching, the community and administration have all combined to produce a well-rounded, thoughtful and kind person out of our child. Our second daughter will be starting kindergarden at Yick Wo in the fall and we couldn't be happier about it.

Our family has been at Yick Wo since our oldest child (who graduated and is now thriving in middle school) started kindergarten there 7 years ago; we have another 4 years until our youngest child graduates. Yick Wo is a gem. The teachers are wonderful and Yick Wo’s beautifully diverse community is energetic and very close-knit. The 4th and 5th grades are capped at 27 students, which I valued greatly when my son was in those grades. Having quality onsite before and after-care is very helpful, as is Yick Wo’s lovely location across the street from Michelangelo Park. I feel very fortunate for the education and strong sense of community Yick Wo provides.

I've been a Yick Wo parent for 6 years and have another 5 years to go before my second child graduates. It's a wonderful school with a lovely community. I'm grateful for this school and its staff every day.
