I thank great schools for having a place that shows the test data to know if a school is operating correctly.I almost sent my child to this school.I am glad I did not because it uses too much project based learning in my opinion and I think it does not use the textbooks enough.I think too that by not using textbooks well, in my opinion, the student understanding of subjects is lowered.that is my opinion, and I know that this school is a kind of test school for project based learning focus.I am sure the adults are kind and things but the test scores are very important and it seems like they may not assign much homework too, but one can ask.My child attended summer school at the school and I have spoke to many parents who had concerns and so I put them here for year 2017

This elementary school is real special in the way the adults treat all the students and interact in polite ways with parents. My son and I had the chance to take a robotics class after school and we were so impressed with the clean school, the emphasis on college bound concepts for children, and all the wonderful activities for parents going on there. The principal and vice principal are very dedicated. The weekly newsletter is outstanding. I venture to say that the entire school made up of all the teachers is a labor of love for all. I highly recommend this school to any parent who wishes to have their child attend at K.R. Smith. A great deal more positive things can be said about this school if you do a google search on all the events and wonderful efforts of community involvement. The school is an oasis of quality learning for all. By the way, the 6th grade teacher who teaches robotics is very professional and I looked up to him in the way he presented and spoke to all parents.

I am very happy with the school. My son is in 4th grade and the teachers and the entire staff is great in helping my son make the most of his education. Also, they have a great after school program.
