San Jose High School

My son entered in 9th grade (2017) and has had a great first year. He's looking forward to the IB Diploma coursework, which starts in 11th grade. He's LOVING the robotics program - he spends about 10 hours a week (after school and weekends) in the Robotics lab with a great group of older students. He didn't even know about the Robotics Club when he selected SJHS, so finding that group of cool techies was ice cream on top of the cake for him.

My son is a freshman here this year and he loves it! He likes to be challenged by his teachers and learn in a well-disciplined environment. He really feels he's getting both of those things at this school. Not only that, but he feels safe. San Jose High is a small high school with an engaged staff and administration who have cultivated a friendly atmosphere where students feel free to be themselves. He's looking forward to continuing on the design/ engineering pathway and and earning that IB diploma, just a couple of the many offerings at this IB/ design and engineering magnet school.

I'm a student at sjh and I can tell you that the only reason that this school gets all its 'hype' from is the IB program. That's it. Gangs. Drugs. Graffiti. A normal class that does not include IB or Honors, has about5% of students learning. The rest, well that's there future.

I love the sports here. And the coaches really help you. And the bulldog pride is outstanding here. GO BULLDOGS
