Union Middle School

One of the best schools in the bay area with an extremely invested administration and teachers. Well behaved kids mostly speak for themselves!

Great school with a good staff and student body. Effective teachers who genuinely help students. A disadvantage is that since it's partner high school, Leigh, switched to Integrated Math path, the school no longer offer Geometry as an option to 8th graders making some people who want to learn more/go to private schools have to take Geometry outside of school in order to take Algebra 2 in 9th grade.

Great School with excellent principal and staff. With advanced maths and science courses, teachers do wonderful job in bringing the best out of kids. Great placeto send middle school kids.

Our family has had a very good experience at UMS since my son started there in 2015. His 6th grade core teachers (Peers & Hamm) and Principal Feinberg were so involved and caring when my son had trouble transitioning to middle school. All of them are supportive, fair, tireless, responsive, dedicated, enthusiastic, passionate and love their jobs. The school has so many programs to engage and assist the students such as the previously mentioned robust sports and band programs,plus other groups such as WEB, M-Power, homework club, Win on Wednesdays and many more.
