Negative one. Admin is in constnat reactive mode to problems but wont take a stand against so many social ills that plague the place. Kids regularly run around out of control on campus and noone does anything about it. Gen ed teachers dont attend IEP meetings

Terrible and with the low test scores—I can’t understand how any parent would allow their kid to go to SLZ High. Students from this school are at a huge disadvantage.

This school has allowed me to blossom, bring me to the person I am. All of my teachers are VERY good, and know what they're doing (despite having many varying styles). I love my school, my home!! And I love the people that come with it! Here's the problem that started in 2016 at San Lorenzo—since her hiring, Principal Allison Silvestri chooses to reprimand her teachers wether than sit and work with them, students and staff choose to file complaints for petty (and I mean petty...) and frankly small things rather than be humans and work it out, and the Administration is VERY NOTICEABLY picking out each and every one of the strong teachers so that they may have the upper hand. Every single thing our teachers do is overly monitored like 1984, and our teachers of 10+ years experience are being bullied (and admin. doesn't know it's obvious). Some lives have literally been thrown off course due to this. I hope that going forward, Allison will become competent and so caring to even be considered as my principal.

Amazing school and staff! They are fortunate to have an amazing principal with Tovi Scruggs. My 16 year old, a Junior has attended since 9th grade, he has had a great experience with some wonderful teachers who really care about their students and has made amazing friendships. I'm not sure about the api rating as my son and his friends and teammates have averages from 3.5 - 4.2. the school is every diverse and everyone is welcome and treated fairly.
