I taught there and the kids are wonderful. The problem is in Administration and Departments where bullies dominate. The kids are more mature than adults. They really are terrific. But sadly, new teachers may want to avoid coming here. A positive experience in many ways but you will be bullied and taken for granted. All that glitters in ranking is not gold.

Suprised at DVHS this school. The teachers here do not support students. Do not send your child here.

This school is overcrowded, unsafe and your student will not get the course selections they want unless they are enrolled in this school district during the Spring of prior year when course selections are offered. Between Spring and Fall, innumerable new admissions happen in this over crowded school, whom the school cannot support yet will admit and your student will simply bear the brunt of dealing with courses they never wanted, bad teachers whom none of the elites wanted, PE class that is meant for the useless bunch who did not fit in any others where actual instructions happen. Such a PE class that follows no curriculum and allows free play, using defective school equipment, without supervision and without safety instructions has caused my son a head injury concussion, and disabled him. The school assumed NO Responsibility, completely faking all reports, covering up facts and coaching all witnesses. This school is the worst nightmare for any parent. Do not get carried away by the great ratings about this school. New comers to the school are at a distinct disadvantage. Stay out if you are considering moving to the area and letting your high schoolers in this risky school.

There is a lot of room for improvement and I hope they take initiative and listen to the advice of the students who actually attend the school, instead of relying on the teachers to tell what happens in our heads.
