I love this school. We are a low income, inner-city school with about 40% of our students being English Language Learners and 10% are students with special needs. Our scores reflect those challenges. What scores don't reflect is that our kids are loved. There are extraordinary teachers at Santa Ana High School. We put relationships first. Our kids know everyday that they are safe, they are cared for and they are loved. We send kids to Stanford, Harvard, UCLA, USC, Berkeley--every year, but we also work miracles with the kids that are struggling in every conceivable way to find their talent, believe in their worth and find a way to be successful--which doesn't always come from a four-year university for all kids. I'm not just saying this because I teach there, I'm saying it because it's true and I am honored and humbled to be a part of this school every damn day.

I, Anthony Barrera, was an awarded academic athlete & football All American maintaining above a 3.5 GPA throughout attending SAHS. The teachers are amazing and having seen the students they have to put up with, I give them my respects. I took AP classes & every instructor prepared me for more than just the exams at hand, but for life experiences & choice making. The majority of my best of friends all attended SAHS with me & I will tell you that SAHS builds character. My younger brother, now an architectural engineer, attended SAHS & followed in my footsteps as an athlete/student. We come from a middle class family & always had a roof over our heads and food on the table. But when I was at school it was like a paradise & it was where I spent about 80% of my day. I was at school an hour & a half before school for sports & would be there for practice everyday after school until about 7pm. The students are great & we came from so many different backgrounds but of the same culture. I love Santa Ana High School & their administration. It was the beginning of a path that has molded me to the man I am today. I can proudly say that I am a Union Sheetmetal Worker & carry the title of a Mechanical engineer specializing in water & air balancing and testing.

absolutely amazing school. i love everything about it and although it has a bad rep. it is an accepting environment with teachers who love their students and want the best for them and their future. Bishop is an amazing principal with a kind heart who genuinely wants the best for us. <3

would not recommend this place poor student -staff communication teachers are mediocre , insignificant measures they have taken to better students behavior , no peer motivation at all , not a welcoming place and torture to be in , the place is dull .Would go elsewhere if possible hopefully soon i aint proud to be a saint and wont ever be one in this school
