Madrone is the hidden secret in Rincon Valley! The principal, Mike Herfurth has worked hard to nurture an inclusive and encouraging environment for students and staff. I love the diverse community! It is truly a well-balanced school!

this is such a great elementary school! The teachers are the best! Teachers really care about the kids and not just the test scores and it shows in everything that happens in the school! They provide extra assistance for children who need it and at the same time have pull out groups for the higher learners. This truly is a great school! We love, love, love it!

Madrone has all of the essentials for a great elementary school! It starts with the nicest and helpful office staff! Andrea (office manager) is wonderful and so kind to all of the children and parents. The principal is out playing basketball with the kids and I have seen kids give him hugs as they are leaving school. The teachers are amazing! The class sizes are smaller and the school is small, which makes for a nice community feel! The great thing about this school is that the community is built around wanting the best for the children!

If you are in the district and are deciding whether to stay in your district or transfer, here are some great reasons to stay!!!!!! This is a great school! Here are some things we like about Madrone: -teachers (amazing!) - garden program -tool box program (they treat each child as an individual and truly have the -child's best interest in mind~not just getting the test scores!) -junior great book program -band (for 4-6), but 3rd graders have song flutes -music with a real music teacher (who is incredible) -buddy program - match upper grade with lower grades to prevent bullying, -option for parent/teacher conferences twice a year, -science lab for all kids k-6th with a dedicated science teacher (she also does PE) -art docent program and dance docent -science fair where the entire school can participate -girls on the run
