Saratoga High School

Very disappointing. The good results of this school is only due to parents spending LOT OF money for outside tuition and NOT due to good teachers. Most teachers don't care.

My 3 sons have been enjoying the small cohorts (esp for public school), level of learning in class, the creativity/camaraderie of having 1/3 of the school involved in music programs (with 4 string orchestras, an award winning band etc), 1/2 involved in sports and many clubs etc

As a parent, the teachers my kids have had have been amazing ... well educated, engaging and motivating. The administration is awesome! Had to work with them through my child’s concussions, and they were very supportive and present.

I really don't know how to feel about this school. For the most part I will say my experience had been positive, but there some things that have given me so much anxiety. First of all, many of the teachers shouldn't be there. They are not very helpful, and drag students down. The students are somewhat somewhat nice but many of them are robot like people that only care about their own success. The standards are also pretty high in every sense, and sometimes it is too much even for the "advanced" kids. The athletic department is good but kind of rigorous. So if you are the perfect student that always goes above and beyond and will not be happy until you get to Stanford this school is for you. If you are not that kind of person, I don't really recommend it.
