Plum Canyon Elementary School

My children enjoyed this school but I’m baffled at this 9/10 rating compared to other area school ratings. Plum had only a 6 week music program that was once a week, art was 6 weeks once a week as well. After school options were a joke. Other schools in the area have STEM programs, the one down the road has a full on musical theater performance every year and you can join band and learn to play an instrument. Most of the pta activities were cancelled beginning of the school year bc no one would volunteer to head them. Other schools had huge fall events. It was quite sad to see.

The last several years were good but it has gone downhill this year. The new principal was moved here because of complaints and problems at his old school.

What was once a great school when the previous principal was around is now horrendous. Steer clear of this school and while your at stay clear of the district. They are all about money and do NOT care about your child’s safety, emotional well being or most importantly their education. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE- for your child own good.

Our children are getting what we feel is a good And effective education. I really feel that the principal cares and has an effective way of addressing issues. The after school care however leaves a lot to be desired as it does not effectively participate in stopping the bullying epidemic.
