It was fine I enjoyed being there .
As a student I have found my experience here to be far from good. Very few teachers worked with me personally to help me pass my classes. I've been attending for 3 years now and have only had around 3 teachers actually help me throughout my high-school career; 1 of them being a teacher I'll have all 4 years. The teachers have too high of expectations for their students. As someone who has barriers in their learning it's extremely difficult to keep up with classes. Too many students I know are now taking independent study because they can't keep up with their classes either. What does that say about Lincolns teaching system? The newest Math curriculum is ridiculous as well. Now that each unit is based on the last I can't keep up with anything. After failing to understand units 1-3 I'm more than positive to be doomed to fail. Getting help at this point would be extremely difficult. I'm a student who used to get Cs in math; now I have nothing but Fs on every quiz/test. Not to mention the ridiculous pressure to know what you want to be since Freshman year. Indepentent study is a far better option or transfering schools. The only reason I stay is for their Art program. Not that its funded well at all; all of Lincolns money goes towards their sports. They should fund their other classes and focus on maintenance + special need children.
Not great. All about the money and sports. God help you if you overdraw your lunch account (they will starve them), or have a student with special needs and health issues which makes going to doctor appointments tricky. They want the $$$ for butts in the seats. A lot of pressure on the students of what they want to be when they grow up, starting from sophmore year on up. As if every student KNOWS what that might be, even in their senior year.
This school is racist. I am a very strict white parent and I do not approve of my kids going here.
