I've had a great experience with my granddaughter here. Her teachers have been excellent! Parents/grandparents have got to be involved period. Teachers can only do so much..

Mrs. Mitchell has been a fair, unbiased principal since she arrived three years ago. She has responded to all my child's issues and also mines. In the beginning I too had some situations with bullying of my child. Mrs. Mitchell handled the situation. At first I was upset with her due to slow process also. But we did get things handled and I am proud now to be apart of the PTA. Our goals are to stop this type of actions. I understand the stress and concern as a parent to want our children safe from any pyshical or mental harm, and Mrs. Mitchell was and has been very passionate about my concerns as a parent. I have and will continue to suggest that us parents continue to be involved with the PTA to assist with ideas and solutions to resolve these uncomfortable issues before they become blown out of proportion. I've spoken with other parents about these issues and they too agree that the more involved us parents are and the more interaction with other parents we can eradicate these harmful situations. It took me some time and more responsibility on my end as a parent to get my situations resolve.

My daughter has had some great teachers since attending this school since kindergarten. The principle is a joke as well as the new vice principle added this year. My daughter has been bullied since the beginning of this school year with no accountability held to the kids bulling her. Ive contacted the office spoke to the vice principal twice and even left messages on the bullying hotline they have. Yet these bullys continue to traumatize my daughter. I plan to move my daughter to another school district next school year, the superintendent and the district are even more of a joke. They see the kids as dollar signs they dont care about there well being saftey and mental state. My daughter cant even focus in class anymore and no one seems to care. Horrible school and horrible school district. Ive been fighting to protect my daughter since september for nothing to be done its very upsetting when as a parent you feel like you cant protect your child and the school doesnt care.

Pennycook is loaded with awesome teachers and parents that work together to get the best for their children. Children are the same from school to school but it's the teachers and parents that make all the difference.
