This has been a great experience. My daughter has really blossomed at Woodland Hills Academy over the course of the past two years. There is clearly a change in the school. I really like the way the teachers seem to all be on the same page - there's a project they work on in all their classes. I thought it was just in 6th grade but now I see it again in 7th grade. It has been really great for my daughter to see how things are connected. I hope they also do that in 8th grade! I highly recommend the school.

Amazing !This has been the best experience that I have had of the many schools that my children have attended. My older sons went to school in Malibu and my daughter previously went to school in Pacific Palisades. WHA is at the top of my list. Every day my daughter says "I lOVE SCHOOL!!" For the past 2 years she hated every minute and wanted to be home schooled. She was bullied , she didn't like her teachers and never felt apart of the community .She only had one real friend out of the 2100 students that attended her former school and she had been with theses kids for 7 years. WHA is completely the opposite. The girls were so welcoming and inclusive from the moment she arrived. On registration day 2 lovely students gave us a tour of the campus and showed her to each one of her classes .Her circle of friends has expanded by 20. I also find it so comforting to see how happy the kids look when they leave school each day. The academics at WHA are challenging and are preparing them for college level work. The electives are dynamic and passionate and encourage the students to get out of their comfort zones and grow. The Performing Arts program is a gift. It's a community within a community and the kids learn to support each other even if they are in competition for the same role. The teachers are committed, very experienced and provide challenging and stimulating projects. The staff is amenable, helpful, kind and professional. The parents that I have gotten to know are supportive and committed to continuously improving the school and its programs.Of course there will always be a few kids/ parents who struggle , it seems that they are the minority. It is a safe environment. I have not heard my daughter say one negative thing since she started. WHA has been a great decision and the right fit for our family. I wish we had found it 2 years ago !

This is our oldest sons first year at WHA and I am so impressed by what I have seen so far. The structure of the education, the processes in place, the enthusiasm of the staff and the help available to get kids acclimated and in tune is just phenomenal. Our son has some learning disabilities and the transition from his elementary school has been difficult for him. But the WHA programs and staff in place have made it a great experience for him and we can already see the difference in his attitude and his desire to learn. We had a few other choices of schools in mind, but we are very happy that we decided on WHA.

My son is in 6th grade and so far we have had a great experience at this school. I really don't understand why more kids from his elementary school is not going to this school. It is so conveniently located if you live in Woodland Hills or in that vicinity, the teachers are great and my son looks forward to going to school everyday. My son has not had any problems with other kids, he felt comfortable right away and he loves all his classes especially the drama program! I also like that it is a smaller school so that my son can get more one on one attention if he needs it. I am very happy that we chose this school and highly recommend it to anyone!!
