Used to be good school. Second grade teacher is horrible. Defensive communication, condescending with children, embarrasses them in front of each other. Administrations hands are tied due to teacher denying and/or making excuses. We will NOT be returning next year. Sad. Last principal ‘ teachers were wonderful. One bad apple.....

The biggest issue is the teachers, but isn't that the most important...less than average experience.

My son loves the school and class very much. Being the volunteer , We find his teacher has a great learning experience this year. Wish all wonderful teacher make this school great.

It would be helpful to find a staff of more recently credentialed teachers who can incorporate engaging, multi-modal teaching into their curriculum. Several teachers are too critical of children and tend to wound rather than inspire the spirits of children they teach. My daughter had better teachers than my son but unfortunately 3 of the 5 retired the year after she had them. While volunteering in the classroom I witnessed several incidents that I found absolutely shocking. The most appalling was when a boy was working on a writing exercise and the teacher grabbed it out of his hand, crumbled it up and threw it in the trash while YELLING at him about how messy it was. The boy's little head hung down and I had to bite my tongue not to rip the teacher a new one. Several kids had bathroom accidents due to the policy of "clipping down" if you have to use the bathroom during class time. That's simply unacceptable; using the bathroom is not a privilege it's a basic human right. I am so happy we are not returning next year.
